The coronavirus pandemic is the current, ongoing global pandemic (COVID-19) that causes the acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus first appeared in Wuhan, in the Chinese province of Hubei, in December of 2019. The World Health Organization declared it a pandemic on March 11, 2020.
Recommendations to protect yourself from COVID-19
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water OR use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
When you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with the inside of your elbow or a paper tissue, then promptly throw the issue away and wash your hands
Avoid touching your face, mouth, nose, and eyes
Avoid close contact with people experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath
Avoid shaking hands and keep a distance of at least 2 meters when talking to people
Open windows and spend as much time outdoors as possible
Avoid large groups of people and public gatherings
